Salary Range: $24.50/hr depending on experience

The Nova Scotia SPCA is seeking a dedicated RVT to join our team working in a fast-paced, social enterprise Hospital, at our newly constructed North Nova facility in Stellarton NS. In addition to surgical assisting, the RVT role involves interacting with the public to deliver other wellness services through a variety of SPCA programs such as Trap Neuter Return, and Wellness appointments. The Nova Scotia SPCA prides itself on providing a full range of veterinary and surgical services to the animals in its care while offering some public programs.

Candidates’ skills:

• A great portion of time will be focused on surgical assisting.
• Clinic pathology knowledge to perform UA’s, fecals, cytology, (skin/ears), fna, pcvs and blood smears.
• Assist with ordering medical supplies
• The ability to lead a surgical support team.
